During this morning’s edition of WWE’s The Bump, it was confirmed that Lynch will have a role in the drama series’ season five premiere. The episode will air on Showtime at 9 p.m. Eastern time on Sunday (May 3).
Lynch and “Billions” co-creator Brian Koppelman both appeared on WWE’s The Bump this morning to announce the news. Koppelman praised Lynch’s work on “Billions” but didn’t reveal the role she’s playing.
While taking part in a “Billions” panel last year, Koppelman spoke about pro wrestling references in the series and was asked about the Becky Lynch T-shirt he was wearing. He said Lynch had an open invitation to appear on the show. Lynch then tweeted in response to Koppelman: “Great looking shirt, Brian. Let’s do this! #Billions #TheManWillComeAround”
Lynch retained her Raw Women’s Championship against Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania 36, though WWE has made it clear that their feud isn’t over. Baszler will be one of the participants in this year’s women’s’ Money in the Bank ladder match. On Raw two weeks ago, Lynch cut a promo addressing Baszler and said she’ll be waiting for whoever wins Money in the Bank.
