French cellist Gautier Capucon says he is a big fan of Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer. In an interview for France TV info, Capucon says he was missing the Roland Garros event currently as tennis is a sport that he is very passionate about.

“It is a real disappointment that Roland Garros is postponed for so long. Tennis is a sport that I love above all. I have seen extraordinary matches at Roland Garros. I admire the artist Roger Federer who is amazing! He has an elegance, with a single gesture.

I am also passionate about skiing. I spend all my winter holidays on skis. ” Capucon also hopes that concerts in France will be able to resume at the same time as the sporting events. “The first sign was the postponement of the Tour de France then that of Roland Garros.

I hope that these postponement dates will mark the resumption of sports and cultural activities. We hope to resume the stage as well as contact with the public.” Federer is a 20 time Grand Slam champion and underwent knee surgery in February earlier this year.

The Swiss legend has said that he also intends to play next year and hopes that when the tour resumes it would be with fans and not in empty stadiums. Gautier Capuçon is the youngest of three siblings. His brother is the violinist Renaud Capuçon.

He is also an accomplished pianist. Now he teaches at Classe d’Excellence de Fondation Louis Vuitton with young students.
