World No.1 Novak Djokovic refused to take a vaccine for the coronavirus in the future even if it became compulsory to travel. Subsequently, the Serbian attracted a lot of criticism for his stance on the coronavirus vaccine.
Noah Rubin, who has always been quite vocal about many issues in tennis, said that Djokovic will have to comply with the rules.
He has to do it – Noah Rubin
The tennis tour is comprised of hundreds of players with their support staff. Moreover, top players like Djokovic also come in contact with a lot of fans. Consequently, Rubin believes that a hypothetical coronavirus vaccine will be a workplace necessity and Djokovic will have to take it. He urged the 17-time Grand Slam champion to think about the people near him.
“You can call it a personal belief all you want. But it’s not personal when it affects other people. This is a typical workplace etiquette. If I’m trying to be in the same locker room, touching the same towel, whatever the case may be – I don’t want to be anywhere near that,” Rubin told Tennis Majors.
