JLH husband Brian Hallisay was charged and accused of beating and smacking in an aggressive way.

The couple reportedly told a photographer to take a hike one Friday when he began taking photos of them, reports TMZ.

The 42-year-old actress, who is pregnant with her first child with Hallisay, was leaving Toscana restaurant in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood when a paparazzo began snapping away.

Hallisay, 42 supposedly rushed to his fiancée’s defense when the shutterbug ignored their request to stop taking photos.

When the cameraman continued, “The Client List” hunk reportedly got into a scuffle with him. The photog then claimed he was hit in the face with his camera during the altercation.

Hewitt, who co-stars with Hallisay on the Lifetime series, apparently felt bad about the incident and allowed the paparazzo to get a few pics before the couple left.

But that wasn’t enough for the photog who reportedly got law enforcement involved a few hours later when he filed a battery report against Hallisay.

While the investigation is ongoing, TMZ sources said there were no visible signs of injury to the photogs face or eye.

At that time, Hewitt, was due to give birth in December, has enough on her mind with becoming a first-time mom and soon-to-be wife. In fact, she postponed their nuptials until after she has the baby so she could get back into pre-pregnancy shape for the wedding.

Still, through it all she’s remaining calm and prepared to take on her new roles.

“I think most people, when they’re getting ready to be a mom, they go, ‘Oh my gosh, I have to have all of the answers right now,'”

she  told Us Weekly. “But every kid is different, every parent is different and every child and parent relationship is different, so you just sort of have to wait until you’re in it and do the best that you can to try and be Zen in the middle of it all.”
