She’s been leaning on her friends for support following her break from the spotlight to focus on her mental health.And in new exclusive pictures obtained by DailyMail.com, Selena Gomez appears to be happy and healthier than she’s been in a long time.

Spotted in Mexico over the weekend, the 26-year-old beauty stunned in a cream bikini set while smiling and laughing with some of her closest pals for her best friend’s engagement celebration.

Selena, who had a kidney transplant in 2017 and also suffers from Lupus, looked relaxed and carefree as she frolicked around the sand in a two-piece set.The actress’ ensemble featured a straight cut top with high-waisted bottoms of a cheeky cut design.

She accessorised her beach look with a pair of large gold hooped earrings for the celebratory outing.
Selena styled her long brunette tresses back off of her face into a effortless low-ponytail and appeared to be makeup free.

At one point the Back To You singer was seen posing while her friend shot some photos of her with a disposable camera.Sharing some pictures from the beach day on social media, she revealed she was in Mexico celebrating as part of an engagement party.’My best friend is getting married, so we celebrated her! Future Mrs. Lopez,’ she captioned a series of happy shots.According to onlookers, the bikini-clad former Disney star was beaming whilst with her friends and enjoyed a few drinks while relaxing abroad.

The fun day also saw Selena and her friends riding horses along the golden sand and de-stressing by a fire pit.
According to an E! insider, the group were said to be making the most of their time together whilst in Cabo.

‘Selena was right in the middle of her friends eating chips and guacamole and drinking from a big bottle of water. They all positioned their chairs in a big circle and spent the day on the rooftop laughing and gossiping.’

By night the group watched a private fireworks show as they dined on the beach together.
Joining Selena on the trip were the group of clean-living girls who have flocked to her side since she left rehab late last year.They were led by her longtime best friend, Courtney J Barry, ahead of her upcoming nuptials to Sam Lopez.The bride-to-be also shared some images from the exotic trip on her social media page, as did their other friends.During sunset, the group mounted horses for a scenic stroll on the sea shore.

Selena has been all about friends since she returned to the spotlight and she even joined her ‘soul sister’ Julia Michaels’ on a new track last month.
The powerful duo joined forces for the song Anxiety on Julia’s latest album Monologue Part I, with Selena singing the lyrics, ‘But all my friends, they don’t know what it’s like, what it’s like. They don’t understand why I can’t sleep through the night.’

The new sounds marks the first time Gomez has released music since she sought mental health treatment late last year.Julia’s new album Inner Monologue Part 1 was released on January 25 and also includes the song What A Time featuring Niall Horan.While Selena is in good spirits, her ex Justin Bieber is currently struggling with a bout of depression.

Her former boyfriend, who recently married Hailey Baldwin, is undergoing counselling to help him ‘figure out his next chapter’The As Long As You Love Me hitmaker has been feeling down and tired as of late and is reportedly seeking some help to discover the ‘root issues’ that have been affecting him.

Justin had previously opened up about how becoming so famous at such a young age had a negative effect on his mental health.

He shared: ‘I started really feeling myself too much. ‘People love me, I’m the s**t,’ that’s honestly what I thought. I got very arrogant and cocky. I was wearing sunglasses inside … I found myself doing things that I was so ashamed of, being super-promiscuous and stuff, and I think I used Xanax because I was so ashamed.’

Selena and Justin dated on and off for years and last spent time together in March last year. Three months later he was hanging out with his OTHER on-off companion Hailey Baldwin, and they got engaged in June. They married in a court house ceremony in November.
