The Gunners have scouted the Celtic strike extensively this season and will no doubt have been impressed by what they have seen.
Head coach Mikel Arteta is a big fan of the striker who has been in blistering form for the Scottish giants this season, scoring 27 goals and claiming 19 assists, meaning he has played a direct role in 46 goals in 45 matches in all competitions.
Arsenal have been told it will cost them upwards of £25million if they want to sign the frontman this summer, but they do have previous in dealing with Celtic, having signed Kieran Tierney from north of the border last summer.
The Gunners have already been told to speak to Tierney about Edouard if they are really interested in him.
Former Gunners star Charlie Nicholas told Sky Sports: “If Arsenal are genuinely interested in Edouard, it would be a crazy scenario if Mikel Arteta and his staff were not questioning Tierney about the player’s qualities.
“When Tierney’s fit, he’s very much an attacking full-back. He could see Edouard’s movement, and he could drill balls into his feet.
“He got quite a lot of assists for Edouard during his time at Celtic, knows the quality of the player and he’s improved this season.”
With question marks over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s future at the Emirates, Edouard could be the perfect successor.
And Arsenal fans have got excited about the potential of a move on Twitter after Celtic hero Scott Brown tweeted about him and Tierney together.
Celtic have been showing their memorable 5-0 win over fierce rivals Rangers today – marking their seventh straight Scottish Premiership title win
