WWE Erases Roman Reigns From WrestleMania Footage On Raw

Roman Reigns

WWE edited footage of Roman Reigns’ involvement in the WrestleMania 31 main event out of last night’s Raw broadcast.

The show featured a countdown segment highlighting the greatest Money in the Bank moments, with Seth Rollins’ incredible WM 31 cash-in sitting at number one. This, of course, went down during a WWE Championship match pitting Reigns against Brock Lesnar, though WWE went out of their way to edit around ‘The Big Dog,’ making it look like ‘The Beast Incarnate’ was out there alone.

This strange, strange move comes weeks after news that Vince McMahon had issued an edict instructing announcers and other performers to not mention Reigns’ name on television.

Immunocompromised following his two bouts with leukaemia, Roman made the decision to pull out of a scheduled WrestleMania 36 clash with Goldberg just before the event, leaving Braun Strowman to take his spot. He is comfortably the biggest full-time name to decide against working during the ongoing global health crisis.

There’s currently no word on when Reigns will be able to return to television, though he may need to wait until a vaccine is developed.

Earlier, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer had reported that WWE announcers have been asked not to mention Reigns but removing the former champ from the replay of the top Money in the Bank moments is slightly concerning.

What do you think is going on with Roman Reigns and WWE? Will we ever see the Big Dog again?
